Rachel Parsons, Associate

Rachel received her law degree from McGill Law School, where she studied both Canadian common law and Québec civil law and was executive editor of the McGill Law Journal.

Rachel was first called to the bar in New York State, where she practiced corporate tax law in New York City before entering academia. After obtaining a PhD in philosophy from Princeton University, Rachel taught philosophy as an assistant professor at Louisiana State University.

Upon returning to Canada, Rachel made her way back to the law, first working as a researcher for the Mass Casualty Commission and then discovering her love of family law in Halifax. Rachel was called to the Nova Scotia Bar in 2024, and practiced at a family law firm in Halifax before joining LM Legal Solutions as a family lawyer in 2026.

Rachel is motivated by the trust each client bestows and the importance of representing each client to the fullest. Lawyers often see clients at the most difficult time in their life. It is a privilege to help clients navigate their way to the other side, leading them through the legal aspects that will get them there.
